About me

Yvonne Borgogni was born in Germany and educated at a Swiss boarding school. She has traveled around the world and lived in London, Brussels, and Florence.

She has studied writing and filmmaking at various places over the years, including New York University, and yet she believes that her travels and meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures to be her true education.

Despite being fluent in several languages, Yvonne writes all of her fiction work in English. She has a penchant for romantic comedies and dramas, but admits that she'd love to work on a great thriller. She claims that she gets her inspiration for her stories from life experiences and admits that the best ideas often come to her while on one of her frequent long walks. Her avidity for telling inspiring stories is evident in the numerous feature-length screenplays she's scribed — many of them award-winning.

In addition to her many feature-length screenplays, she has also written and directed several short films.

She has recently completed her first novel, One Hundred Forty Days, which she plans to adapt into a screenplay.

Yvonne resides in downtown New York, but divides her time between the East Coast, West Coast, and Italy.
